THE PURPOSE
Juneteenth • June 19, 1865
The emancipation of freed slaves was recognized in every part of the U.S., almost two years after the emancipation proclamation was signed. Juneteenth not only commemorates the end of an era but gave the opportunity to stretch and grow further than originally imagined.
TechTeenth • Fulfillment of Purpose
While freedom & justice have always been delayed for people of color, we are here to change this for black people in tech. Our aim is to increase Black and African American (diaspora) into the tech industry both conventional and unconventional.
